Addressing Your Operational Challenges

Backed by its extensive range of equipment, ETT can provide any standard or custom-built solution to adapt to the customer's requirements and constraints. These can be chilled water or Direct Expansion (DX) systems, depending on customer specifications.
ETT can also design plug-and-play solutions with dimensions strictly identical to existing units for retrofit projects, but integrating the latest generation of technical components.

Their design prioritizes maintainability, repairability, robustness, and performance, even in highly corrosive environments exposed to salt air.

ETT is a major player among shipyards thanks to the multitude of technical solutions available in its range that meet various operational constraints.

Specific ventilation and exhaust requirements, dust control, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management in working environments and aboard vessels under construction are implemented across our different types of equipment.

Temperature and Moisture Control

In addition to onboard heating and cooling production via our thermodynamic systems, additional equipment can be integrated, such as:

  • Chilled water (CW) and hot water (HW) coils
  • Electric pre-heating, heating, or auxiliary heating coils

Many industrial applications require ambient humidity control. This involves implementing air dehumidification equipment, such as:

  • Thermodynamic dehumidification (mechanical dehumidification)
  • Dehumidification with electric auxiliary
  • Desiccant dehumidification

Energy Savings

Energy efficiency is a core concern for industrial players in markets such as Marine Renewable Energies (MRE), where the goal is to produce electricity, not to consume it via utilities. With this objective in mind, ETT is capable of integrating various equipment and control features such as:

  • Energy recovery wheels, plate heat exchangers, heat pipes, and glycol water coils
  • Free Cooling management

Through its Energy Performance unit, ETT is able to compare different technical solutions to evaluate CAPEX and lifecycle costs over several years.

Ventilation

Airflow management is essential to ensure the proper operation of industrial processes:

  • Air change rates / Homogenization of temperature and humidity conditions
  • Fresh air make-up (process exhaust compensation)
  • Positive pressure (overpressure) management
  • Custom fans for high pressure requirements
  • Redundancy management with Duty / Stand-By fan configurations
Unit Architecture

Space and environmental constraints often require units to be custom-designed for seamless integration. ETT’s manufacturing flexibility offers:

  • Custom dimensions and modular (multi-section) design
  • Heavy-duty structural casing
  • Anti-corrosion treatment for components and casing for aggressive environments
  • Marine-grade Aluminum or Stainless Steel casing
  • Specific coatings
  • Dimensions strictly identical to existing units for retrofitting
  • Adaptation to acoustic constraints

Reliable operation even under pitch and roll conditions

Air Quality

Air quality is a crucial factor for operator comfort and production quality compliance, therefore requiring equipment that provides:

  • Particulate and molecular filtration
  • Fresh air management

Low GWP Refrigerants

Recent regulatory developments, notably the F-Gas regulation, strongly encourage the use of natural refrigerants.
For several years, ETT has been integrating Propane (R-290) as a refrigerant across various types of units (air-to-air and air-to-water), including:

  • Air-to-Air Heat Pumps
  • Air-Cooled Chillers up to 1.2 MW
  • Simultaneous Heating & Cooling Heat Pumps
  • High-temperature heat pumps up to 70°C (158°F)

If this refrigerant cannot be used for safety reasons, ETT can offer two alternative refrigerants, such as R513A or R32.

Controls & Monitoring

Special attention must be paid to equipment controls to meet industrial expectations. This is why ETT develops all of its own algorithms to offer customized operation.
Furthermore, the myETTvision monitoring tool allows industrial operators to track their units remotely and in real-time.
A range of options featuring various display types (touchscreen or standard) can be provided to facilitate system maintenance.
