Our intervention

Heating / Cooling / Dehumidifying / Humidifying several rooms in a museum, with priority given to dehumidification management.
Variable airflow rate depending on occupancy and/or opening of different rooms.
The machine is brought to the machine room through doors / corridors / stairwells, so the blocks must be less than 900mm wide.
Manufacture the machine to short lead times.

The challenge for ETT

The difficulty was severalfold :

Manage temperature and humidity in several rooms, with regulation based on an average of sensors on the return air and variable flow boxes.

Varying the airflow rate (2,000 m3/h -> 5,000 m3/h) on a ‘RE’ type machine without causing major disruption in terms of pressure in each room. This meant that we had to install 2 refrigeration circuits with power modulation on each circuit to ensure that the thermodynamics worked properly.

Transport the 5 blocks with the possibility of tilting them by more than 45°, so all the blocks are reinforced and the compressor is delivered on a pallet.

Connection by ETT services.

The custom-built machine meant a long lead time, so we had to anticipate the purchase of components by bringing forward the design phase

Our approach

Our approach on this project was to respond with 1 single machine to manage all the rooms, while being very responsive in our responses (project and execution phases).

This project was a real challenge for ETT and no doubt for all the parties involved, firstly because of its accessibility, secondly because of the need to vary the supply air rate on a ‘RE’ type machine without disturbing the pressure in the various rooms, and thirdly because of the need to manage the temperature/hygrometry of several rooms.

Numerous meetings were held with the customer during the project and execution phases, and we were thanked for our responsiveness.
