The issue
The dimensional constraints of the technical platform meant that we had to design the 2 machines symmetrically in order to optimise the passage of the ventilation ducts.
Our intervention
The ‘mirror’ design also facilitates maintenance, with the main access points opening onto the same technical aisle.
These air handling units are supplied with hot and chilled water from on-site production units. However, the control system remains integrated into the machines.
A 3-stage filtration system (M5/F7/F9) has been integrated to control dust levels in line with the constraints of the printing plant.
Energy optimisation involves the management of fresh air. The control system gives priority to the hydraulic coils. If cooling is required, the dampers adjust the fresh air flow rate to obtain a mixing point at which the room can be treated.
