Understanding your challenges
Of course, the primary purpose of an air handling system in the hotel sector is to ensure the thermal comfort of users. Heating in winter is systematic, air conditioning in summer increasingly essential. However, as an Establishment Open to the Public, these functions must be fulfilled while at the same time ensuring that the minimum hygienic levels of fresh air are introduced into the rooms.
Our X-RCAM+ range (double-flow "All Fresh Air" heat pump) produces hygienic air at a "neutral" temperature with thermodynamic efficiencies close to 30 (i.e., 1kW of electricity used to power the compressors provides 30 kW of heat in winter) thanks to the efficiency of its plate exchanger. This makes it the ideal equipment for this function, and allows you to achieve significant energy savings.
As establishments have opted for variable airflow box technology to provide "All Air" treatment for their rooms, the PACARE EVO is ideal for supplying fresh air while ensuring the healthiest indoor air quality (IAQ).
The reception hall and dining room can be treated by our "4-damper" type machine range, which can be used to control the blowing in of fresh air according to occupancy, to heat and cool the space and to maintain the temperature when it is not occupied, thanks to its ability to operate in full recirculation mode, which is the best way of reducing energy consumption.
But another special feature of accommodation premises is the large annual need for Domestic Hot Water.
For this reason, just like for establishments using water terminals to condition their environments, the new NEROMAX reversible heat pump range, or its high-temperature (HT) version, will ideally replace gas boilers and allow you to reduce your energy bill while also reducing your carbon footprint.
Finally, our ECOPS heat recovery chiller, awarded at COP21, can meet the needs for simultaneous production of hot and cold water, particularly in the hotel environment.
To sum up, our solutions for accommodation buildings allow:
- Ensuring your Indoor Air Quality (IAQ),
- Providing regulatory fresh air flow rates,
- Comfort setting of rooms (heating, air conditioning, ventilation),
- Low-carbon DHW production
- Communication of equipment in JBUS, IP, or Bacnet IP to your BMS.
ETT's solutions for meeting airflow and economic challenges integrate various functions:

Fresh air modulation adjusts the flow of outside air introduced into a ventilation system to meet specific needs in terms of comfort, indoor air quality and energy efficiency. This modulation is essential in environments where proper fresh air management has a direct impact on occupant health and energy costs.

The ULTI+ R32 OR range can be installed on a water loop. This system combines performance (SEER / SCOP, no defrosting, wide operating range) and accessibility (installation on standard curb, installation in equipment room possible). Three hydraulic configurations are available.
Heat exchangers are frequently used to preheat fresh air. ETT offers a wide range of technologies, including plate, rotary, heat pipe and glycol water heat exchangers.

High-Performance and Sustainable Solutions for the Hotels and Accomodation
For 40 years, ETT has supplied machines for air treatment and Domestic Hot Water production to a wide range of accommodation establishments in France and abroad.
Regulations
Hotels, or any similar accommodation building, are TYPE O Public Access Buildings, divided into 5 categories according to the number of people they can accommodate.
As such, they are subject to fire safety rules set out in the French Decree of June 25, 1980. Articles CH35, 38, and 40 specifically deal with air treatment equipment.
Air-to-air heat pumps serving sleeping quarters must be fitted with a DAD (Autonomous Triggering Devices regardless of the air flow rate supplied.
