ETT's experience serving thalassotherapy and thermal spa facilities
Thalasso and spa establishments are experiencing strong growth, largely due to the increase in demand for natural, therapeutic wellness treatments. In response to this trend, companies are modernising their infrastructures, including air handling systems, to guarantee their customers the best possible experience.
ETT designs, manufactures and markets high-performance, robust systems capable of responding to a wide range of problems.
Comfort
Water temperatures due to customer requirements (thalassotherapy) or natural hot springs (thermal spa) are high (30 to 33°C).
The resulting evaporation is therefore significant, especially as the ponds are agitated by numerous activities.
ETT control will allow you to regulate to a defined comfort zone and a constant water weight to avoid drift.
The dehumidification function contributes to the supply of fresh air, ensuring good indoor air quality at the same time.
Equipment subject to severe constraints
The aggressiveness and corrosiveness of Thalassotherapy (seawater) and Thermal Spa (sulphur) environments are real issues to be taken into consideration when it comes to technical equipment.
Since its creation, ETT has made the strategic choice to use aluminium for the casing of its units. This material is essential for this application, our casings are guaranteed for 20 years against corrosion.
All sensitive components (coils, heat exchangers, fans, etc.) are subject to maximum protection (Heresite treatment and H2S protection). The heat exchangers are made of titanium to withstand seawater.
Energy efficiency
The high evaporation from water surfaces requires careful sizing of air treatment systems. Precise dimensioning of dehumidification performed by fresh air, as well as the thermodynamic part, is necessary to achieve the most favourable energy consumption.
Durability of the structure
To ensure optimum performance over time, it is essential that the interior conditions are right.
ETT regulation will prevent any risk of condensation on the walls, thereby preserving the building envelope and structure.
This must comply with the state of the art in terms of thermal insulation and airtightness.
ETT's solutions, designed to address the aeraulic and economic challenges of thalassotherapy or thermal establishments, incorporate various functions:
An essential function in swimming pools, it removes a large proportion of the water vapour generated by evaporation in the pools, which is detrimental to user comfort.
This function aims to use outdoor air to cool a space when conditions are favourable.
Heat exchangers are frequently used to preheat fresh air. ETT offers a wide range of technologies, including plate, rotary, heat pipe and glycol water heat exchangers.
Adapted to corrosive environments, ETT machine components can have specific coatings for saline and sulphurous environments, such as varnished piping and brazing, titanium and insulated water exchangers, heresite-coated battery protection, etc.
The operator must ensure that his equipment does not generate any particular noise which, by its duration, repetition or intensity, is detrimental to the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood.
ETT has a wide range of technical solutions to combat noise pollution from air handling systems.
Dimensional constraints are very often the source of integration difficulties when replacing existing equipment.
ETT's strength lies in its ability to offer completely customised machines that fit in with their environment.
ETT has developed a remote supervision tool integrated into their machines. The aim is to provide operators with monitoring capabilities for their machines, and to enable ETT to provide fast and reliable expertise. Other services are also integrated.

Dedicated expertise in the thalassotherapy market
With 50 years' experience, ETT has positioned itself as a key player in specific markets. Thalassotherapy and thermal spa treatments have major technical constraints (seawater, sulphur, salt, etc.) that require specialist expertise and know-how. Every year, ETT contributes to the renovation and construction of sites. Feedback enables us to innovate and evolve our offering to closely meet our customers' expectations.
Regulations
Swimming pool regulations mainly concern health rules relating to water treatment.
Air flow rates are calculated on the basis of their dehumidification capacity.
However, the 60 m3/h of fresh air per occupant must be complied with.
