Your work-study at ETT

Work-study programme at ETT: Key Figures

Each year, we welcome new talent across our various departments (purchasing, quality, manufacturing, Engineering and Design, Engineering, etc.). Our work-study students come from diverse backgrounds (continuing education, career changes, or re-entering the workforce). By choosing a work-study program at ETT, you'll benefit from personalized guidance with an expert company mentor in your field. Upon arrival, you'll be invited to a welcome breakfast to meet your fellow work-study students, followed by a dedicated onboarding process.

Currently studying engineering at ENSIBS, I've been an apprentice at ETT since September 2023. My tasks are engaging: electrical costing, creating electrical diagrams for project phases, and designing bespoke machine schematics for large-scale projects like wind farms and oil platforms.

I'm also fortunate to work independently on a new project: developing electrical specifications for bespoke machines. I love the diversity of my tasks; each day is different. I also appreciate having direct access to the workshop.

I'm lucky to work close to home in a family-owned, growing company.

The atmosphere among apprentices and within my team is excellent, and my mentor regularly organizes outings for us.

Baptiste
Assistant Electricity Project Manager

After 33 years in the printing industry and following a redundancy, I decided to retrain.

I wanted to work at ETT, and when the opportunity for an apprenticeship in Assembly and Wiring at UIMM arose, I seized it. My colleague Marie-Françoise and I met with the Manufacturing Manager, and we were both selected.

After 12 months on a professional training contract, we were hired full-time with a better salary than I had in printing.

I love the diversity of my job; I work on control panels in the wiring workshop or on the line with HVAC technicians.

Working in a company of this size can be intimidating at first, but everyone here is approachable, and there's no discrimination based on age or gender.

The implementation of 'job workshops' is an excellent idea to discover and identify other employees' roles.

I also appreciate the company's proximity to my home, flexible hours, always finishing on time, and not working on Friday afternoons!

Marie-Pierre,
Electrical Assembly Technician
