Automation and Control Technician

Our Automation and Control Technicians play a crucial role in programming ETT machines to meet client specifications. These programs control all machine components based on various criteria, including feedback from multiple sensors (probes, pressure switches, etc.). Occasionally, they may also control external elements such as client dampers and extractors.

Key responsibilities include developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for machine control (touchscreen displays, myETTvision, etc.) and providing clients with communication points to control and retrieve data from our machines.

Our team consists of a Control Manager who supervises: 

  • A Technical Lead
  • Automation Design Engineers
  • Control Systems Technicians

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in automation and control systems
  • Relevant educational background (e.g., Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field)
Cyril ETT

After earning my degree in Electrical Engineering and Industrial IT from Brest Institute of Technology, I continued my studies with a one-year BTS (Higher Technical Certificate) program in partnership with ETT and Lycée Vauban, who were looking for interns.

Upon completing my training, I started with a 6-month temporary contract to automate refrigeration test benches, then was hired full-time in January 2007. 

I began as an Automation Technician/Designer and have since progressed to the role of Technical Lead.

What I love about my job is working on highly technical machines. I also enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different departments.

We're fortunate to have an R&D department that involves us in optimizing new machine ranges.
