Our Eco-Design Approach

Our technologies are designed to improve energy performance and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during operation. The ETT teams take pride in developing solutions committed to reducing GHG emissions.

ETT also has a dedicated unit for monitoring energy performance, which supports our clients in tracking their equipment and contributes not only to significantly lowering operating costs but also to substantially reducing GHG emissions.

ULTI+ R32 Range: Proven Energy Efficiency

Based on certified data, the energy label developed by Eurovent Certita Certification offers a clear and reliable way to quickly identify the energy efficiency of a product. Energy classes range from A+ for the most efficient products to E for the least efficient.

The energy efficiency label affixed to our ULTIMA+ R32 range indicates the class achieved for engineering offices, installers, investors, and operators. To attain this, ETT adheres to a strict certification procedure and undergoes annual audits by an independent third-party organization. Measurements on actual devices, along with the traceability of already certified components, complement the verification method.

Our Adiabatic Solution: Minimized Environmental Footprint

Adiabatic cooling, or evaporative cooling, is based on the principle of thermal transfer between warm air and cool water.

Water trickles and evenly moistens the media along its entire length; the non-evaporated water returns to the basin to be pumped again.

The adiabatic media consists of corrugated sheets with low pressure drops and high efficiency. It is made from M0 non-flammable material, making it suitable for public access establishments.

Energy Efficiency: Compared to 100% thermodynamic solutions, the operating cost savings average 68% in energy gains, as confirmed by customer invoices from approximately forty ETT-instrumented machines.

Low Carbon Footprint: The main advantage of the adiabatic system is its low carbon footprint due to its very low energy consumption: adiabatic cooling only requires the use of a water pump and a fan, leading to substantial savings on the electric consumption of compressors and screw units, and extending their lifespan.

Minimized Ecological Impact: No refrigerants or chemicals are used. Water consumption is optimized: the water used is not polluted since part evaporates and the rest is drained into stormwater systems.

➡️ Replacement at the Carrefour gallery in Cesson-Sévigné 35, of 6 competitor single-flow rooftops with 6 ETT ULTI+ R32 adiabatic rooftops equipped with an EX2 extraction unit..

This will enable our client to decarbonize (using R32 refrigerant) and reduce their energy bill with a new generation of more efficient machines and the use of the adiabatic module in summer.

R290 Refrigerant: An Eco-Responsible Choice

CFC refrigerants (R11, R12, R113, R115, R502…) and HCFCs (R21, R22, R123, R124, R142b, R401A…) harmful to the ozone layer and the environment have been strictly banned by the European F-Gas Regulation.

Producers of gases are now subject to a declining quota in CO2 equivalent tonnage for market entry, which will cause fluctuations in refrigerant prices and favour those with low global warming potential (GWP).

This shift will necessarily lead to a significant increase in the cost of refrigerants.

ETT already offers solutions that replace high global warming potential refrigerants with those that have a lower impact on climate change, such as R290 (propane) refrigerant.

NEROMAX : Reversible Air/Water Heat Pump (R290)

The ETT Research and Development department has designed an innovative solution with a high-capacity reversible air/water heat pump. The Neromax range is one of the solutions available to decarbonize heat production. Our range aligns with the European REPowerEU plan, which aims to double the deployment of heat pumps by 2030 in the European Union to reduce dependence on fossil fuels while prioritizing renewable energies.

Compared to annual heat production from a natural gas boiler, the NEROMAX range allows for a 83% reduction in CO2 emissions over 15 years.

Examples from our customers:

🚨 Strongly committed to a decarbonization approach, Carrefour Property and CARMILA SARAN are innovating by installing the very latest generation of ETT adiabatic rooftops (Custom Units) operating on propane at Cap Saran (45).

This is the very first time that such equipment has been installed in a shopping center in France and Europe.

Combining the advantages of the adiabatic function (significantly reduced electricity consumption in summer) and propane (a refrigerant with one of the lowest possible impacts on climate change, with a GWP of 3), this thermodynamic machine has been specially developed to reduce the carbon emissions impact of buildings.
