In 2022, ETT voluntarily initiated its scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) assessment. We are now committed to implementing a decarbonization plan for our site and technologies. Alongside actions for managing environmental performance (ISO 14001, energy audits, mobility plans) that we are already implementing, we aim to exemplify our products and services by supporting our clients in their energy transition.
Our knowledge of climate solutions and air treatment, combined with our expertise in their operation, enables us to assist our clients today through a service that monitors the performance of installations and reduces energy consumption.

Our goals
This is the target ETT has set itself for reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
With our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, energy audits, eco-design of our technologies, carbon footprint, mobility plan, building renovation, etc., we are focusing all our actions on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Following the completion of our scope 3 GHG assessment, our commitment focuses in particular on:
- Reducing the electricity consumption of our technologies
- Developing a retrofit solution
- Decarbonising our inputs
- Optimising the monitoring of refrigerant leak rates
- Employee commitment

Our projects
Climate Fresco’ workshop
A team of volunteers seized the opportunity to understand the challenges of climate change, its causes and consequences, while carrying out our carbon footprint.
ETT in action: example of an action implemented by our Supply Chain
In 2024, we tested the feasibility of transporting our equipment by rail, in order to reduce the carbon footprint of transport. For the first time, our Ulti+R32 technologies were transported by train from Rennes Terminal to Vénissieux, south of Lyon, for delivery to our customer in the Loire region (42).
Choosing rail transport is a real commitment to more sustainable transport. By opting for a modal shift from road to rail, we are helping to reduce CO2 emissions - a concrete step towards preserving our environment. This initial test will be continued with a view to gradually extending the service to certain destinations.

Carbon offsetting
ETT contributed to the financing of a forestry development operation: 1,000 trees were planted in 2021 in Brittany, in partnership with Reforest'Action. As part of our drive to improve our carbon footprint, ETT is committed to continuing its regular support for the financing of carbon offsetting solutions.
We see carbon offsetting as an imperfect yet essential solution for financing forestry projects. Carbon offsetting only makes sense as a complement to our ongoing and significant efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, within the clearly defined trajectory we have set ourselves.

The objective of carbon offsetting must not overshadow the challenges of preserving biodiversity: combining the promotion and preservation of biodiversity as the foundation of ecosystem resilience in the face of climate change.
